Admissions Process

The School has three main points of entry in September each year. The first is for the Afternoon Nursery Class for children who turn 3 between 1st September and the 31st December of that year. The second intake is for the 3+ Morning Nursery class for which the cut off date is 31st August. The final intake is into our Reception Class for children who are aged 4+ by 31 August of the intake year.     

The younger children attend the afternoon sessions on Monday to Thursday, 1.00pm to 3.00pm and the Morning Nursery class hours are 9.00am to 12.00am.  Reception Class children stay in the afternoon until 3.00pm Monday to Thursday.  On Friday the class finishes at midday.

In addition, we have a very small intake of children who are ‘rising 3’ (i.e. they will be 3 years old during the term of entry) in January each year and have occasional places throughout the year in our other classes.

Although the School endeavours to operate a “first come, first served” admissions policy, we do give priority to siblings and to children living within a short distance of the School.  We also aim to balance the number of boys and girls in each class as far as we are able.
